One of the biggest questions each entrepreneur will ask himself/herself in their entire life is... When do I quit my full time job... it's a question I've been struggling for a long time. Some people will argue, quit as soon as you can so you can lead a happy life sooner, and I agree yet I'm a cautious person... I belie in balance and getting to your goals slowly but surely. One of the biggest things that kept pushing me to quit was thinking that I was building a business on the side working 2-3 hours a day and weekends and I was making some decent money and how much faster I could expand if I focused on it 40 hours a week. There is a few reasons why I didn't take the plunge: Not ...

First off, I would like to apologize for anyone who's attempted to read my blog over the past few weeks... it's been a crazy past two months. I've been working on a major redesign of aboutmyplanet.com and it's finally live.

There was a major redesign of the UI, you could say it's a brand new site. However on top of that I've been able to recode the entire backend templating system of wordpress. What I've done is build the entire system in OO PHP Classes which makes the code so much easier to read and much more organized. It allows me to easily add new additions to the system much faster then before.

I've also implemented a big bridge between wordpress and vBulletin which works ...

This is pretty major setback for google, I've come to trust them and maybe too much. I've spent months getting my personalized homepage to the state I wanted... I had some custom ToDo Lists and note modules that I've written and now all the data is gone... I'm not sure what's going on but from a quick search on google tons of people are having the same issue. So I'm still crossing my fingers that it will come back... I wish there was some backup option to save all my data to email once a day... I've emailed Google, hopefully they'll have a general response... stay tuned for an update..

trump.jpgWell this was the weekend... the weekend where I got to see Donald Trump live... and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The guy is a great entertainer, even if he doesn't consider himself one to be, he is. For those of you who missed it, well that's too bad you can wait till next year but for now here are some thoughts I had about The Learning Annex.

We got there Saturday nice and early at 8am... the Toronto Convention Center was already packed and buzzing with entrepreneurs from all over Toronto. I promptly ...

Came by this video today, talking about evolution of the web and trying to define what it is and where it's going. Check it out...

Yesterday was a great day for Apple, by far the best keynote speech to date. Apple TV looked amazing and well the iPhone, what can I say WOW.... it really put my eTen PDA/phone device to shame. I want to go on record and say that I'm buying the iPhone the first day it comes out, it's a very exciting time and I can't wait to see what people will start coming up for it once it gets released, widgets galore ;) .

Anyway since the iPhone is still a couple months away I thought I would play a little devil’s advocate and look at some of the problems that Apple might be facing with the iPhone, I'm sure everyone wants them to succeed, as you can see none of the smart phones have yet but if anyone can Apple will. So here we go:

Complexity of the phone

Well I finally got a new site design down and streamlined my wordpress theme into PHP classes so I can reuse it in all my blogs... anyway it's been a while since I wrote anything here, I've been very busy.

Just so you know who I am, my name is Bart Dabek and I'm currently living in Toronto, Canada... love it here and I've been in IT for about seven years now. I started off in graphic design and computer animation. I found computer animation field extremely difficult career to get into, after six years years of studding and working on animation I gave it up.

I felt I gave it a fair shot but at the same time I found a new passion in programming and lets face it you can't change ...
